Maple is a versatile hardwood with a fine, smooth grain, varying in color from nearly white to a light reddish-brown. Natural mineral or sugar streaks can appear and may be more noticeable with lighter stains. Maple is the most commonly used hardwood in fine American cabinetry and is often paired with opaque finishes, such as our Ultimo Tinted Varnishes. Some components may be MDF when a Tinted Varnish is selected to ensure a superior, flawless finish. MDF is never used as a structural component of the cabinetry.
